It’s really remarkable to find so many packagings which are so easy to reduce. Reduction of packaging is not only reducing the amount of carton, but also the transport of volume, outer cartons and storage space.
For example this dishwasher tablets packaging. A carton box random filled with 40 tablets. The size is 14 x 16 cm(5 cm depth). Total volume is 1.12 liter. When you open this packaging you will notice that this box is not complete filled. The reason might be that they will stick together, however I did not experience this.
Now when I stacked them in a proper way so that they are not messy and loose you will see that the volume is half the size! Image the reduction of packaging, transport and storage, only by taking care of the direction of the tablets!
